My Withered Branches (22 x 30 inches / 55.9 cm × 76.2 cm) evoke a quiet desolation of loss and release. The wispy strokes of charcoal wave through the desolate branches of each tree emoting loneliness and fragility. The lone figure free-falling into this landscape show the tension between loneliness and renewal.
