Binding Collapse explores the fragility of identity through a storm of abstract mark making. The portrait emerges from layers of chaotic scribbles, where certain features such as lips, shadows, and contours are given weight while others dissolve into restless motion. The eyes, hidden beneath dense crossings of line, suggest blindness, concealment, or inner struggle, leaving the viewer to imagine what lies unseen.
This work speaks to the tension between freedom and confinement, clarity and confusion. Through its deliberate mess of marks, it reveals that even in distortion, the human form and the emotion it carries cannot be silenced.
